YoungLives relies on the generosity of volunteers and donors to support this ministry. Staff and volunteers consistently spend time at local high schools tutoring teen moms and dads and teaching parenting classes on a weekly basis. Our outreach events, “Club,” take place once a month, providing teen parents and their children with a familiar environment to spend time with each other, receive encouragement from their mentors, enjoy a meal together, do a craft, and even enjoy live music! We host one club in Huntington Beach and one in Santa Ana for the teen parents in surrounding cities. Once a year, we host a YoungLives Christmas Boutique, where we celebrate the winter season with fancy hot chocolate, sparkling cider on silver platters, and create a shop for the moms and dads to grab a few gifts for their babies and themselves. Every spring, we host a YoungLives Prom; since most of the teen moms are not able to attend Prom, we thought we would create one of our own, with ice cream bars, live entertainment, and childcare, so our moms and dads can enjoy a special night designed just for them. In the winter and summer we take teen moms, dads and their babies to a life changing camp that most teens would say is “the best week of their life!”

All of these events take many hands and funds to make possible. Contributing to YoungLives is an investment in a bright future for the next generation.
